Frequently Asked Questions
Do you ship to other areas like Cap Haitian, Haiti or the United States?
We only offer products at our Cultural Center shop in Jacmel, Haiti and select retailers in southern Haiti. As Kado Nati grows, expanding to more areas in and outside of Haiti is one of our top priorities. We hope to offer shipping as soon as we can!

Where are your products made?
Every Kado Nati product is handcrafted in Jacmel, Haiti using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. From tree-to-bar chocolate to jams, spices, and other specialty foods, our goal is to celebrate Haiti's incredible agricultural heritage while creating sustainable jobs in our community.

What makes Kado Nati chocolate different?
Our chocolate is made from Haitian cacao grown by local farmers. We focus on small-batch production that highlights the natural flavor of the beans rather than masking them with excessive processing. The result is authentic bean-to-bar chocolate with a true taste of Haiti.

Can I support Kado Nati if I can't buy your products right now?
Absolutely! The best ways to support us are by sharing our story, following us on social media, telling friends about Kado Nati, or contributing to one of our fundraising campaigns. Every bit of support helps us expand production and create more opportunities for Haitian farmers and families.

Why is your product selection sometimes limited?
We're a growing business, and every product is made in small batches to ensure quality. As we continue to acquire equipment and expand our artisan workshop, we'll be able to introduce new products and restock favorites more consistently.

Can I find all of your products in stores in Haiti?
A selection of Kado Nati products is available through select retailers in southern Haiti, making it easy to enjoy some of your favorites close to home. However, many of our limited-edition, seasonal, and exclusive products are available only at our shop in Jacmel. Visiting the Cultural Center is the best way to discover our full collection and experience new creations before they're available anywhere else.

How should I store my chocolate?
Chocolate is best stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. If air conditioning isn't available, an insulated bag or cooler (without direct contact with ice or water) can help protect it from excessive heat.

If chocolate melts and hardens again, or if it has been refrigerated, you may notice changes in its texture or appearance, such as a dull finish or white streaks. This does not mean the chocolate has gone bad. It is still safe to eat and will taste just as delicious, even if it doesn't look as shiny and smooth as when it was first made.
